Dear Parents/Caregivers,
Cessnock High School has managed to coordinate a COVID Vaccination Day in conjunction with a local Pharmacy to allow an opportunity for those families that have not been able to access the vaccination in our community for students in years 11 and 12.
The Moderna Vaccination will be available for Year 11 and 12 students as a priority group. I note that this is not a compulsory vaccination and will only be administered to students who wish to receive the vaccine, and present with the appropriate consent paperwork.
The 1st dose of Moderna will be given by the Vaccination Nurse at the premises of Cessnock High School on Thursday 30th September 2021 (the second week of the school holidays). This will allow for the 2nd dose to be given prior to HSC Exams in week 6.
For an allocation of vaccines to be reserved we need to give numbers to the Pharmacy by Friday 24th September. To reserve a vaccination for your child please call the school on 49901977 or email cessnock-h.school@det.nsw.edu.au including the students full name. The required consent paperwork will then be emailed to you directly to complete together with the allocated time for your child’s vaccination. The student will need to arrive 10mins prior to the vaccination and have the completed paperwork with them.
