Dear parents and carers,
Welcome back to school for Term 2, I sincerely hope that everyone had a restful break and are recharged for the term ahead. I am sure that you have heard in the media the changes to COVID restrictions of close contacts, and I wanted to write to clarify these changes and how they will impact upon our school and your children.
1. Testing Positive for COVID – If your child tests positive for COVID there are no changes to the isolation rules. Please follow the NSW Health Regulations as per last term on testing positive.
2. Close Contact – If your child is deemed a close contact, they are still able to attend school if they have no cold/flu like symptoms, they wear a mask indoors and that they test negative each morning on a RAT test. If a student develops cold/flu like symptoms throughout the school day they need to go home immediately, and this applies for students who are deemed a close contact as well as those who are not. However, if the student is enrolled in the Support Unit they must isolate at home for the seven days as per the previous advice.
Please don’t hesitate to contact the school if you have any questions or concerns around these changes and again, thank you for your support.
Take care
