Facilities and Resources

Our school offers a range of spaces, tools and resources to support student learning. Whether it’s for study, sport, creativity or technology, our learning environments and resources give students what they need to succeed.

Our School Facilities

At Cessnock High School we continue to strive to improve our facilities to ensure our students stay engaged, build confidence and enjoy every part of their school day. Our facilities include:

Comfortable Classrooms - All classrooms are equitably resources with tables, chairs, air conditioning and technology such as interactive whiteboards to support student engagement
Student Laptops - All students have access to a school supplied laptop to support their day to day engagement within their classes.

Sport Facilities - Cessnock High School prides itself on its deep history of sporting success and to support this students have access to multiple sports courts including ovals, multisport courts and the multi purpose centre.
Subject Specific Learning Spaces - Across the school continual upgrades to subject specific spaces such as science classrooms, art and technology rooms continue to support students to explore all aspects of the curriculum.
Student Wellbeing Hub -   The student wellbeing hub which provides students with daily support, resources and nutrition through programs such as our breakfast club.
School Library - The school library provides students with a large catalogue of print and digital resources that support students to explore a range of topics.
Canteen - Students are able to access a well resourced canteen on a daily basis.
The Kirawa Learning Centre - All students from Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander backgrounds are supported in all aspects of school life by our amazing team in the KLC.
The Senior Learning Centre - All stage 6 students are supported to engage in their studies in the Senior Learning Centre. This space includes staff who support with study periods, assessment support and ongoing guidance in managing the demands of stage 6 learning.
